Let me introduce myself.... I'm Mark Jones and I'm a sound, mix and recording engineer based in Manchester, UK. I offer top quality studio mix and recording services from both my personal setup and the facilities I have access to at SSR at very competitive prices.

I began my mixing and recording ambition about 9/10 years ago, using facilities provided by TCR (Teesdale Community Resources) in the north east of England. It was all basically self teaching, learning what works and what most certainly doesn't!! The time was invaluable as it meant starting off on an old hard disk recorder into the ole Yamaha O1V and O2R digital mixing consoles with no GUI's and doing everything by ear. Not as demanding as working with tape, I know, but it was a lot to take in at the age of 15! If it wasn't for TCR I wouldn't be where I am today.

The countless hours in there drove me to wanting to make my mixes sound better and better, and all these years on I've kept up with the ambition and funded my own personal recording setup (of which you can see in the pictures section of the site) which is ever expanding as I'm always on a quest to provide the best quality sources for those magical takes!

Being a guitarist and 'part time' drummer myself, I really focus on every element in the mix, everything playing such a unique and important role in the overall final product.

As you can hear from the play list on the main page, my primary focus is hard rock and metal, however I have helped engineer some vocal/choir material in the past and the more down to earth blues/rock material we all love!

As well as mixing and engineering, I also offer a reamping service using some of the finest rock and metal amps out there!
